You know, I don't really understand why Demandred traded in second banana on the Light side for second banana on the Dark side. I guess at first, he might have believed that the DO was going to let him become Naeblis, but at this point, he really should have figured out that Moridin/Ishamael was always going to be #1. If being second banana bothers him so much, it would seem better to be second banana for a lifetime to Lews Therin than second banana forever to Ishmael.

At one time, I held out hope that Demandred would betray the Shadow for that very reason at some key point in the Last Battle. I don't really think that is likely now that we have already had a character pull a similar ploy in Verin.
