maybe there is a dreamspike over the town. That would make Isam the only one able to flee to T'A'R since he doesn't need to channel to go there. However, it wouldn't impair anyone ability to channel. As for Moridin killing a dozen, it's not so surprising since only DF lives there,they certainly aren't helping each other. So Moridin likely fought a dozen 1 on 1 fight making is crushing victory not the least surprising.
