I believe this is even better than your previous version, from what I recall. You hit on all of the parts that irritated me about her from the beginning. She was like nails on a chalkboard from the time she stepped into that first scene.

I do wish you had included the "THIS STORY IS AS MUCH OR MORE ABOUT EGWENE AS IT IS RAND OR THOSE OTHER TWO I CREATED!" chapter that RJ found necessary to add to the children's edition. That one really irked me. She was a despicable little brat obsessed with people worshiping her from the time she was born, it appears, and she has always gotten off on being hurtful to any of her friends/family that refused to either kiss her ass or bow down to her greatness. I've known people like her in my life, and I've never liked any of them. Some of them should count themselves damned lucky I walked away from them and didn't leave them in a puddle of their own blood...

Anyway, I fear that Egwene is being set up to best Rand in aMoL. Apparently Rand's temporary "win" over her (conning her into doing what he wanted) was ill-fated and is just a setup for her forcing Rand to prostrate himself before her before she single-handedly defeats the DO by throwing Rand's bleeding body into the bore and glaring at the DO until he submits to her supposed awesomeness. Bah.
