Not sure. I didn't receive the regular Tor updates at the address I used to sign up for the excerpts, but got it as usual at the other address I registered to tor.com with years ago, and the McMillan one.

Tor.com is not very aggressive marketing wise. They built that with a perspective of creating a global Fantasy/SF community, leaving a great deal of space to Tor Books's competition. It's also a separate company.

It's mostly via their corporate website they do their marketing, that's the one their publicity staff work from etc.
