And if Demandred hadn't been killed, he was certainly powerful enough to negate one or two of Mat's tricks. If he had lived, the Sharans also wouldn't have broken and fled.

It would have been close, but Mat's victory was far from certain.


It had very little to do with whether or not he was a "perfect general".

The truth is that Demandred had enough raw power to detroy them at any time, the ONLY way they ever had a real chance of winning, was if they somehow killed him.

It never had much to do with "skill"(not to say Demandred had none).
