And also, I totally agree with your initial post. I was beyond thrilled with all aspects of the book. All I kept thinking when I was waiting for it to get here was that so much stuff had been predicted and discussed to death that I knew it would be hard to do it in an unexpected way, but I think a lot of it was. And I loved that the Last Battle lasted for basically the entire book. Made me unpleasant to deal with when I was interrupted from reading multiple times and had to reorient myself every time I picked the book back up, but honestly? That tends to happen anyway.
