Is also possible that the viewing was showing her a true future. Bonding Gawyn happened which lead darius_sedai Send a noteboard - 30/01/2013 01:37:18 PM
After reading AMOL, I'm wondering if I was wrong in what I thought about the following viewing:

For a moment [Min] let herself think of the images she had glimpsed, just for a moment, flickering around Gawyn's head... Gawyn kneeling at Egwene's feet with his head bowed, and Gawyn breaking Egwene's neck, first one then the other, as if either could be the future.

[tSR; 47, The Truth of a Viewing]

I thought this was resolved before the final book, with the events in TOM and before, with Gawyn eventually being bonded by Egwene and seeming to be happy to serve her.

However, with AMOL, we see that Gawyn struggling to sit out the battle and follow Egwene's orders, with the eventual result of him getting himself killed, and Egwene following soon after. It is possible I think that if he hadn't fought Demandred, and followed Egwene's wishes, the whole subsequent change of events would have changed, and both of them survive while still defeating Taim and co.

Thus I think Min's vision applies to the Last Battle.

My apologies if this has been discussed before.

to Egwene's death in the Last Battle.
