In reality, a sword duel is nothing like a dance, and is more of a lunging, sweating, 30 second affair which ends with someone bleeding to death from horrible cuts about as often as BOTH participants die in a bloody mess. RJ was a big fan of the "dance" model. This certainly doesn't seem inconsistent.
