I feel the same about Mat's luck powers. You talk about plot armor, his is a plot bulldozer. Bookwyrm Send a noteboard - 01/02/2013 12:53:58 AM
Androl seemed to have massive plot armor, way beyond his importance as a character. By the time we reached the halfway mark it became clear that any scene he was involved in would somehow turn out badly for the Shadow.

"Oh no, I hear the bloody dice in my head! Maybe I'm a Timelord. Dare I suspect, the MASTER?" no wait, that's the sound of the universe spinning in Mat favor in every flaming action he takes.

He herps and derps all over the series without a care at all about what is going on and he still manages to appear at the right time at the right place to win it all.

Androl is the least of this series problems. :P
BOHICA - Go ahead, ask me what it means.

I kind of always thought RJ intended the minor characters to be bland - 03/02/2013 12:00:33 AM 1494 Views

I hated it because it reeked of sanderson pandering to "internet humour" for lack of a better term. - 31/01/2013 04:47:54 PM 1547 Views

Pretty much. But I think significant blame should be laid at Jordan's feet for his abysmal pacing. - 02/02/2013 10:48:06 AM 1572 Views
