Thankfully, using KoD as an ending allows for things to be left on a high note for Mat, which suits me just fine.
But I am grateful, now that I've had the time to really think it through, to have this ending. Defective and in places crappy as it is, it's still something, and gives at least a little closure to the series. No ending can be entirely satisfying, after all, that's just their nature.
I finally read it, and now I'm going to vent/share my thoughts to anyone and everyone who'll listen
