In Chapter 4 of KoD, Perrin meets with Tylee to get their help to rescue Faile. Towards the end of their negotiations, there is a HUGE wind that carries a NASTY sulfur smell that made Perrin's nose burn.

So. Who farted? (Or what is that sulfur smell?)


That sulfur smell means Darkhounds were in the area. Perrin has smelled sulfur multiple times in the series and it has always meant there are Darkhounds in the vicinity.
