And the best part... Moridin playing chess with himself.

View original postDespite the fact that I d!dn't really have to wait for it - my library didn't have it, so I bought it in paperback (and might I add in English, switching languages). It was good, but already slower and with not that much happening - off the top of your head, can you name many important events taking place in PoD?
Off the top of my head, fixing the weather with the Bowl of Winds, Rand's campaign against the Seanchan, the rogue Asha'man's betrayal, and depending on how you define important, there was Adeleas' murder and Rand putting down Fedwin Morr.
And the best part... Moridin playing chess with himself.

You've read up to KoD, but not beyond? That seems like a shame...

Ouch. That about sums up people's initial reactions, yeah... though very harsh in hindsight. *NM*

In the grand scheme of the LB, did fixing the weather with the bowl mean anything?

It was one of the first large-scale examples of the potential of Saidar and Saidin working together *NM*

Best I could do. Still doesn't justify spending 3 books on it. *NM*

Well Sanderson probably dropped the ball on this one but didn't the Windfinders use the Bowl at TG?
