That's... a lot.

The "living in fear of AS" thing was BECAUSE the AS come down on groups of channelers, which the Kin certainly is.

Ok, I didn't know they were spread throughout the Westlands, with trades. That makes a bit more sense. I thought that they were all pretty much either in the towns surrounding Ebou Dar, in ebou dar, in tar valon, or on The Farm.


Makes me wonder what the world would be like WITHOUT the Kin. Certainly, there would be many of the type I described.

It's interesting to me that there are almost no "freelance" channelers in this world. The only ones I can think of are wilders who become aware of what they are doing, and whatever goes on on the Isle of Madness. Everywhere, channeling is tightly controlled.

Not that that's not a bad thing, but it's certainly different from many other fantasy settings with "magic schools." Harry Potter, the Name of the Wind and others tend to have wizards learn their craft, and then go off and do their own thing.
