Also, very badly edited or badly rewritten. The entries are sometimes in WoT-speak, and sometimes in contemporary vernacular. Galina's, for example, includes a description that she appears to be "a pleasant armful" but a man would never get to put that arm around her because "she was a lesbian." Apparently, there is an island of Lesbos in WoT too, from which we get the name for women with such inclinations.

I read that the Compendium has a lot of stuff lifted verbatim from RJ's notes, and some that is paraphrased. So in this instance, I'm assuming that "a pleasant armful" is what RJ wrote, and lesbian is from the editors. Or maybe vice versa.

Or maybe RJ wrote it all, and wasn't as concerned about keeping a consistent tone for his notes? Dunno.

In any case, thanks for the post.

I amuse myself.

There's some good new details, but a lot of superfluous crap too, kind of like the BWB - 11/11/2015 12:54:03 AM 1035 Views
