First let me say that I am doing a pitiful job on my re-read. I am still very early into it, but something good that has come out of that is rediscovering the early books.
Anyway, the question that occurred to me concerns the Tinkers. They are much more significant early on than I remember. Do you think they still have an important role to play, or do you think they have played their part and there is no time for them?

We have to get some sort of resolution to their search for the "song" so i am sure it is not over yet! I would be way disapointed!
I've heard some pretty impassioned arguments that there is no song, but I don't agree.
Yeah, I believe that the song they are searching for is the crop growing song the original Aiel sang with the Ogier and Nym. Can't remember exactly what happened but I think the song is connected to that memory Rand experiences.
No idea how it will happen, but I agree.
