What about the "hill folk" in Seanchan? I believe Ajimbura (sp?) was hill folk, and the Tinkers are flocking to Seanchan controlled areas. I was reading somewhere recently (13th depository, I think) that the hill folk are the descendants of the Dashain Aiel in Seanchan. It could be that they meet up and learn a song or two.

That is a cool idea, thanks!
I'm just rereading and seeing them in the beginning. There is a lot of care given to developing them and then not a lot happens. I had thought that maybe it was so we knew them really well when Rand went to Rhuidean and we discovered where the Aiel came from, but I really think that the focus on their character, their bravery at the battle of Emond's Field for example, should mean that they are around to do something to help at the Last Battle besides fighting. It's not something I desperately want or anything, but the focus makes me wonder.
