I still think it was Graendal and, like you say, that it will be confirmed through the thoughts of one of the others. If nothing else, the fact that Cyndain and Slayer didn't show up anywhere and were not mentioned at all in the book (beyond a brief thought about Lanfear possibly not being dead) should work against attributing the deed to either of them.
