Yeah - on Verin it's fairly clear that she was a "sleeper" BA, only there cos she couldn't get out but determined to minimal bad amnd maximum good while she was there
I didn't even bother thinking about her past actions...thought it was fairly obvioous that her interactions with the Emond's Fielders etc would ahve been motivated by her innate desire for good, not evil.
As for Sheriam...ha ha very good. Reminds me of the vampire in Pratchett's "Carpe Jugulum" who chsoe to become a vampire cos it would help him get laid.....
