In fact, Rand only has Moridin as his conduit. The Dark One cannot give the True Power to someone not tied to him, and Rand channeled through Moridin. IMO


Exactly. I don't think the issue of permission would have arisen at all since Moridin already had it. Even if it had, as you say, I seriously doubt the DO would have denied it to Rand since the DO's goal appears to involve making just such a connection with him. How I wish we'd gotten a Moridin POV following that incident....
