Sheriam seems developed in order to provide a contrast to Verin. Both got in over their heads- Verin wanted knowledge and Sheriam power but neither joined for DO domination. I think the sole purpose of our Sheriam PoVs is to make Verin even more noble by comparison. When Sheriam realized what she was really in for, she could have resited, but instead just went along with the BA.
