I'm not sure if Rand actually remembered every second of all his incarnations. The impression I had was that he got a sense of the past lives where he had loved and known joy and hope.
Given what has happened to Bridgett I'm not sure if human brain can actually store all the memories. Its one think to be a spirit in the world of dreams but while in the flesh the hard drive does not seem big enough to store all the date and older memories face away to make room for the newer memories.
