He could be a DF. After the revelation that even Verin and Sheriam were BA, it wouldn't surprise me very much if Balwer were revealed to be a DF. But like the others, I don't really see much evidence for this idea.


from his POV, it's clear he's no forsaken. I think it's pretty clear he's no DF as well, though after Verin I hesitate to be absolute.

I think the scowl is because Balwer is so skeptical about any info he gets, that he may not even believe in the forsaken - certainly not without proof before his own eyes.
