I like Mat because he is entertaining. And I got the impression that he wasn't going after Moiraine right away because they kind of need a plan first- plus he's been out of contact with events for quite some time. Information is always good.


And you'll notice that the vast majority of his complaining is done internally. And that no matter how much he does complain- he always goes through.
