He could be a DF. After the revelation that even Verin and Sheriam were BA, it wouldn't surprise me very much if Balwer were revealed to be a DF. But like the others, I don't really see much evidence for this idea.

How/when/where was it proven that Verin and Sheriam are BA? I have somehow missed this completally, and it has been bothering me, since it seems to be general knowledge.
