Verin can Travel, and she obviously knew what she was going to do with Egwene when she talked to Mat.

So, I see two possible options.

First: She knows something is going to happen to Mat or Caemlyn in the next 10 days or so. Her letter to Mat probably tells him what he must do. If he doesn't read the letter, then making him stay 30 days will probably force him to react to the situation anyway.

Second: Verin didn't really die. She took a slow-acting poison that temporarily killed her, but would allow her to survive.

(Irritating Fridge Logic: Given the way we know the Power and Oaths work, Verin could have betrayed the Black Ajah (since she thought it was the "hour of her death," and then gone to a sufficiently powerful Healer to have the poison cured from her system.))

I disagree with your second point, if she had thought that she would get Healed then she would know that it wasn't really her last hour and therefore wouldn't have been able to reveal anything.
Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.
