First off, I agree that Dark Rand was pretty awesome when dealing with enemies. Not so awesome when dealing with friends or allies.
I loved the way Dark Rand ruthlessly wacked Graendal and gave her no chance to fight. Yes I think Graendal died. Yes I think Dark Rand should show up whenever there needs to be a fight.

Egwene redeemed herself more in my eyes than she did in yours. She is now the 4th worst character.
