I think the three are Rand, Nynaeve, and Moiriane. They will wield the sword of light that closes the DO's prison. I seem to recall from an earlier book that Rand will fail without Moiraine. Correct me if I am wrong.
Doesn't necessarily mean Moraine has to help Rand in this specific instance, but it could be. Maybe she'll return from Finnland with some extra knowledge of Callandor, or the Bore. Who knows?
