Because he believes that eventually the Dark One has to win. He admits it himself, and that when the Dark One wins their will be nothing. No rewards, no ruling. Just nothing. That is why he is Nae'blis.
If Demandred, Mesaana, or any of the others realized they were getting a bum deal, then they would have jumped ship. The others truly are less then evil.
Moridin, has become a sympathetic villain, in that he doesn't care about reality, or the world. He wants it to end so his own eternal suffering can end.
If any of the Forsaken survive the Last Battle, it will be him, or Moghidien (out of sheer cowardness)

It's not Moridin's intentions, stance on the Shadow or strategy that made this scene so powerful. It was the human side of his personality that did it.
What I wouldn't give for a similar scene between Rand and Demandred, where they reminisce about their early days, their pursuit of Ilyena, their literary successes and failures, where Demandred opens up a bit about his terrible disappointment when Lews Therin bested him at something.
Just something more than the usual wooden threats, angry proclamations and simmering vows to see Lews Therin dead.
After reading this scene, I live in hope. A villain with a human side is just so much more intense, because his evil actions are in sharper contrast when compared to the human side of his character.
Even Hitler had an affectionate side. Let's see more of this for the villains in Wot.

Agreed. This is why I've always loved Lanfear and Asmodean, too - we actually saw humanity in them

Actually, the Guide has more dimension in it's portrayal of most of them than the actual books.
