Perhaps Verins' letters (there were many when she delivered the one to Mat) contain names/information along these lines to be used in the near future? I wouldn't put it past Verin to conclude that Egwene will have her hands full with the WT, and so took it upon herself to get that information out to the right people.
Although I don't think Verin is up-to-date on who is with who.
I was thinking Verin might be sharing knowledge of what she figured out about the prophecies and the roles that Mat, Perrin and Rand have to play. Of course, if that's the case, it'll probably be so cryptic as to be useless.
