Sanderson has stated that Towers of Midnight will have scenes that overlap timeframe-wise with Gathering Storm.
When I heard that he said that, I assumed he was talking about scenes with Graendal in them, as well as the Perrin scenes when they meet up with Galad and the Whitecloaks, and Galad recognizes his mother.
I have been waiting for that scene for a LONG time, and there is no way Sanderson would leave that scene out.
We can almost know for a fact we'll see those scenes in the next book. And probably see Berelain fall head over heels for Galad. That should be fun for her to meet her match finally!

Rand was surprised to see Perrin talking to some white cloaks.
When the Wolf King carries the hammer, thus are the final days known. When the fox marries the raven, and the trumpets of battle are blown.
