...by different descriptions (ie: heron-mark) which I would have to go back and check on, but I think the simplest explanation is that it's the former sword of High Lord Turak.

See link for my previous theory on this, and adding in new information from tGS that wasn't available at that time, it still makes sense.

However I can't recall if Turak's sword was ever noted to have a heron...I think it was, actually So maybe this is all moot.



I like this one a lot. And it could have been Luthair Hawking's sword, passed down through the royal family all this time.
