I mean, I loved his redemption too. One of my favourite scenes in any book. I just wish we got to enjoy Dark Rand a little longer.
At first, every couple books he seemed to change a bit, progressing towards Dark Rand. But he's been the same way since Dumai's Wells, really. I wish Dark Rand had emerged in, I don't know, WH or CoT or something in between. I guess there wasn't much for him to do around that time, so maybe not. But I just wish we had Dark Rand around longer, like we did with previous versions of Rand as he progressed towards DR. He's just so much cooler, and actually edgy, not just...sullen. That would also make his redemption scene at the end of tGS so much sweeter.
Oh well.

Rand the mass murderer, the explosive person who even his allies hate and fear. You do realize this is meant to be the saviour of mankind, not the Nae'blis right?

That is probably due to you having fought so many wars in Video Games, but not real ones.

I loved Dark Rand. I agree, I wish he was around longer. Should've come out earlier in the series.

Reading about a saint is boring. Reading about an imperfect hero is exciting.

That's actually kind of shallow and limited

I don't read for morality either, but IMO, it makes a better story because it is tougher

You're right. But I'm very angry with the writers for portraying Egwene in such a positive way.

I do have to say, though, that I would have burst out laughing if he balefired Tuon and the Seanchan

You were shown as early as TDR that conquering someone doesn't mean they are going to follow you
