when I met with BS last night I discussed the timeline with him. I was specifically asking about when Mat's timeline ended (bascially when he travelled to Caemlyn). He said about 30 days before the end of the book (by Rand and Egwene's timeline). Then he looked at me and said, you do realize the significance of 30 days don't you?

So, Mat clearly waits the 30 days without opening Verin's letter. However, I'll bet afterwords, he does go ahead and open the letter at some point. But, by then it may not reveal that much.

If the Pattern requires Mat to leave before 30 days, then it will force him to. - 17/11/2009 08:24:52 PM 793 Views
Mat, by now, must have serious concerns about Verin being Black Ajah - 17/11/2009 08:33:14 PM 889 Views
I don't think Mat thinks that seriously about it, to be honest. - 17/11/2009 10:13:06 PM 785 Views
