This may have already been brought up, if so sorry. But could it be that the three in question that Min brings up be saidin, saidar and the true power. Meaning, Callandor can only be used with a link of all three, and only with that can the dark be sealed away for ever. Again, probably a dumb question, but I thought I would put it out there
Link the True Power to the True Source? Is it even possible for starters?
My first reaction was 'there would probably be a matter/antimatter kind of explosion since the true power is the essence of the dark one, and I believe that the one power is the essence of the creator.
The true source is the Dark One. As I think, was the taint on Saidin. that might imply that the saidin was tainted with the true power. The taint and Saidin didn't interact, it was described as being oil on water, they just don't mix.
