A Circle of weak Aes Sedai were able to Heal Mat of the taint from Shadar Logoth using the Power, and many other wonders are possible using that much Power...the fact that we've only seen these sa'angreal used as weapons has more to do with Tarmon Gaidon being around the corner than any inherent danger.

Unlike nuclear weapons, the One Power can be used for many things.


As I mentioned elsewhere I was hoping to see Rand cleanse the Ways with it of the darkness and wind to give just one example.

The only major use it has been put to so far was cleansing the Taint. And the only other time it was used (to kill Graendal and her zombie pets) is no that bad either.
