However, I cannot see how unswearing the Dark Oath is not a direct betrayal, knowing what the BA Hunters plan to ask, and probably what they would seek to gain from further interrogation (other BA identities, plots, etc.)


It's been a long time since I read that scene, but seems to me they didn't exactly leave her a choice in the matter.


The Hunters crowded her as Talene tried to leave. That was all we saw.

I don't know if Talene resisted physically or with the OP. It probably would have been mentioned instead of being cut short like that if she did.

Interestingly, we find out that Talene escaped in tGS. I assume she is still bound to the First Oath. And also unbound to the DO?!
