I'm not sure of the reasoning that LTT would have A) had a sword as a weapon other than Callandor or B) it would have survived the War of Power, the Breaking and LTT's suicide to be passed along to anyone.

Also, I thought this was one of those instances of circular time where Rand finds a random sword which later becomes known as Justice, even though physically not the same one that Artur wielded. After all, IIRC, Artur's sign was a golden hawk in flight, not a golden dragon, yet Rand's new sword has a sinuos dragon going down the side. Is it possible that he saw this sword during the battle against the Seanchan High Lord Blademaster? The style of the sword doesn't sound Western.

Didn't Rand see Hawkwing's ghost, summoned by the Horn of Valere? *NM* - 20/11/2009 09:14:35 PM 665 Views

It can't be Turak's sword as that had a heron on it and Rand's new sword doesn't - 20/11/2009 10:40:24 PM 1332 Views
Lews Therin did not wield Callandor (probably). - 20/11/2009 11:02:26 PM 1296 Views
No, IIRC he didn't use it when creating the Seal. - 21/11/2009 01:54:41 AM 1139 Views
Maybe I'm wrong, but I think Callandor was made after the Breaking. - 27/11/2009 01:13:02 PM 1232 Views

The sword does NOT have a dragon on it - 21/11/2009 02:41:38 PM 1297 Views
That's right - 21/11/2009 05:26:01 PM 1141 Views
Rand didn't recognize it from LTT's memories though, he said. - 20/11/2009 09:28:51 PM 1333 Views
Very true, but he also wasn't fully integrated with LTTs memories at that time - 20/11/2009 10:36:03 PM 1199 Views
Which makes me wonder. What is Hawking fighting with when the Horn of Valere is blown? *NM* - 21/11/2009 12:42:04 AM 574 Views
