It's more than just being on a mountain Asha'man Warder Send a noteboard - 22/11/2009 02:15:46 AM
I'm pretty sure the authors of both works were drawing on similar memes. What about in the Bible where Satan takes Jesus to the top of a mountain and shows Him the world for his final temptation? Or even the ending of How the Grinch Stole Christmas?

It's more than just an image or meme, it's the whole sequence that struck me. If he just went to Dragonmount and his heart grew three sizes, then I'd agree, but if you're trying to equate Jesus's temptation, the Grinch, and Rand because they all happened on a mountain, that's a bit of a stretch.

I'm not saying that BS plagiarized, but I do think it's a bit more of a parallel than you're implying.
