This was an excellent play for the DO, toying with poor Rand's sanity. Nothing can dampen the DO's favour with Moridin because Moridin is the only one who understands that his part is merely to be an actor.

If you don't get it, think on this. Rand's victories against Ishamael in books 1 2 3 were staged.
