My dad didn't put me on a tractor til I was 13. It not quite the same though, since he had given up farming himself and was doing custom spraying for other local farmers, so putting me to work meant being on someone else's property.
Still, it does seem a bit strange that I was handling such products as paraquat, azodrin and 2,4-D, at such a young age.
I'm wondering if anyone here knows what a "poppin johnny" is? My dad had 2 or 3 of them.
