Or possibly, she knew what it would do psychologically to Rand to kill a woman, and made sure Lanfear was super powerful and therefore unbeatable.


Lanfear dueled Rand at the base of the wagon. When she sensed the angreal close to her, she climbed up onto the wagon again, and was thus in front of the ter'angreal. This allowed Moiraine to push her through.
