While I find it hard to believe that Mesaana would be a novice, she could well have multiple disguises and use whichever suits her best. No one took a census of novices or accepted after the Seanchan raid, and AS would normally not notice a short disappearance of a sister if Mesaana wanted to take up a different disguise for a time.
In fact, Mesaana might not even be a named AS - she might just have taken over a room and walked around as she pleased.
The short answer: unless it's someone well known, we have no way of knowing who Mesaana is right now. RAFO.
