Once they realize that Traveling is less useful to them than to other groups. Damane cannot link therefore only the Damane with enough individual strength to Travel will be able to help move armies, and since no one individual can make a Gateway large enough for more than a few people to walk through at a time it's not going to be all that grand for major troop movements. They'd have to dedicate all the strongest Damane available to move major forces, and it's questionable if they could use it at all for supply chains like the Rebels were doing.

On the battle field with small companies it'll be helpful, but the AS and Rand will have a decided advantage with it as they can link and have the ability to not only move major forces quickly, but to multiply the number of channelers able to Travel (2 weak sisters linked can create gateways).

I think they'll be more disappointed at NOT getting the "AS Weapon" used outside of Ebu Dar ... of course since it doesn't really exist they're in for a lot of frustration over it!
