I don't like Egwene much, though I disagree that she's petulant or "a character gone wrong", but I like Elayne. Most people who dislike one of the two, like the other at least, that I've seen on this board. You might be a special case in disliking both. I imagine you have to dislike a lot of other characters as well, then...

Rand is a fine enough character. As are Mat and Perrin. Nynaeve is fantastic, as are Min, Aviendha, Moiraine, Thom, Lan...some of them may be annoying, but they are at least understandable.

I still kind of like Egwene. She does get some cool plotlines and stuff. She steals a few scenes here and there too. I just find her, as a character overall, lacking.
