Evil tyrant witch queens artois Send a noteboard - 10/12/2009 12:58:06 AM
I agree that Tuon's desire to rule everyone is incorrect. However, recall that when Hawkwing's armies reached Seachan they found a land terrorized by multiple feuding evil tyrant witch queens. Such things tend to modify the cultural memory of a people. Hawkwing's heirs already mistrusted AS, and now they had come to a land of capricious AS with no constraints or oaths. I am sure that the people they conquered were ecstatic to see their former tormentors leashed like dogs.

We readers are exposed to the POV's of many sweet, earnest, wise, kind channelers so find Seanchan views abhorent. But consider the roots of Seanchan prejudice. I am excited to read what modifies Tuon's views on channeling, but more so I hope to see her modify her views on da'covale-a much less excusable practice given what we know.
