Of course not! artois Send a noteboard - 10/12/2009 01:13:10 AM
There are no 'ideal societies' in the WOT. But peasants are people too, and I would rather be a peasant in a society that values law and order and is very stable, than in a place like Tear and Cairhein. Remember, upward mobility in a medieval society is almost non existant; so if you are going to be a farmer, you want to be a farmer in a place where you feel safe. It also seems that incompetence in rulers is far less tolerated in Seanchan, so that it seems likely that most peasants would be better off...

Provided they don't channel. of course.

wishful thinking if you ask me. The point is "freedom" from leashes. Having the take oaths is worse. *NM* amirebram - 09/12/2009 07:46:35 PM 436 Views

Fortuona didn't save Egwene and a Fourth Oath to an Empress is worse than what Elaida wanted. RugbyPlayingAshaman - 09/12/2009 08:18:17 PM 999 Views

It refers to part of Egwene's dream that is yet unfulfilled. It COULD mean Tuon save her. *NM* redhand - 10/12/2009 03:46:15 PM 399 Views
