would you really still be reading the series if it was one victory for the shadow after another? yeah, fine they can have one once in awhile, but the series is about rand, mat and perrin (and their friends) and not moridin or the other forsaken 
That the Shadow should win. But if some of their most important plots fail, the person who is in the end the chief, namely the Nae'blis, should take some responsibility. I think it would be more exciting, if we saw real action among the highest peaking order of the Forsaken (besides the occasional rape or mindtrapping), e.g. the DO suddenly naming Demandred Nae'blis, after Moridin's failures.
This is related to the question, if the DO knew before TGS that Moridin and Rand are linked, and what he thinks about it. Maybe Moridin will actually suffer the DO's displeasure soon.
