Re: all the walking Logain Send a noteboard - 17/12/2009 02:30:24 PM
Mainly all the scense with them walking, but nothing happening. I mean, most of the book, they are being pursued in one way or another. So it could still be exciting, but there is almost as much walking in EotW as there is in Fellowship. It could be cut down quite a bit.

I have mixed feelings on this. I recently saw the Transformers 2 movie and the end fight scene lasted over an hour. About half way through, both myself and my wife were saying to each other, "geez. When is this going to end." In other words, nonstop action overwhelms the senses and takes away from the parts that really need to show an increased pace and more drama.

I definitely agree with you about cutting out some of the walking, etc. But I would still leave some of that in there. That IS part of the story after all.

EotW movie. What would you cut to make a 2-2:30 movie? - 16/12/2009 07:35:41 PM 1266 Views
Two things cannot be cut. At all. - 17/12/2009 12:31:06 AM 905 Views

I believe a 3 hour movie is called a mini-series, now. - 17/12/2009 04:38:57 AM 780 Views
A 2 hour movie would be very short for these books - 17/12/2009 05:27:13 AM 770 Views

Personally, I would take out what was probably the LotR's biggest failing... - 17/12/2009 05:52:04 AM 891 Views
