and so did a bunch of others at the Cleansing.
Of course, they were all in circles, but Rand, for example, was able to weave both saidin and saidar.
So yes, it's possible to use both at the same time, but so far no one has embraced both at the same time.

The One Power (aka saidin and saidar ) and the True Power (the Power that the DO gives to his select followers) are what Gher is talking about. The original question is: Is it possible to weave both the One Power (the force of creation that drives the wheel of time) and the True Power (the force of destruction granted by the Dark One to his followers)?
Most likely, the answer is "No." Antithetical powers and all that.
vandevere's post made it sound like it could apply to any of the three. *shrug*
I was Phelix on wotmania, I will always be Phelix in the "real" world, and now I am Phelix on RAFO.

Can a channeler embrace and use the True Power and the One Power at the same time? *NM*

I don't think anyone would have a reason to try and channel both powers at once *NM*

There definitely are not two half of the TP (btw, anyone else irritated at the name similarity?)

The name "True Power" is simply Shadow propaganda. *NM*

Yeah, I think it would probably destroy the body of the person attempting it.
