Yeah. I figure it was not so much a case of enchanced senses as it was a case of him being filled with pain/ecstacy from channeling so much power. So he saw Nynaeve, but his brain was so overloaded from the humongous amount of OP that it did not really register. It was a purely mental thing.
Though I wonder, would a skilled channeler be able to emulate enhanced senses with active channeling. Given all that can be done, I could see it being possible to enhance/focus light going to the eyes, sorta like a OP-telescope created infront of the eyes. I seem to remember that people have actually done similar with sound. The eavesdropping thing. So enchanced hearing is possible.
I don't know if you could enhance smell though.
